No Alcohol 48h Before
Avoid consuming alcohol for at least 48 hours before your session.
A great tattoo starts long before the needle touches your skin and continues healing for weeks after. Follow this guide to prepare your body for the session and care for your tattoo while it heals.
How you take care of yourself in the days leading up to your appointment directly affects how the session feels and how the tattoo heals.
Avoid consuming alcohol for at least 48 hours before your session.
Avoid direct sun exposure and sunburns on the tattoo area before and after your appointment.
Moisturize your skin daily at least one week before your session to keep it well-hydrated and healthy.
Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your session to keep your skin in its best condition.
Use a gentle exfoliating soap one week before. Stop exfoliating three days before to avoid skin sensitivity.
Make sure to get a good night’s sleep before your appointment.
Eat a proper meal before your session to help maintain your energy levels.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo area.
Avoid taking blood-thinning medications (such as aspirin or ibuprofen) unless prescribed by your doctor.
The first weeks after your session are when your tattoo heals into its final form. Treat it gently and consistently.
Keep the protective film on for the first 24 hours, then remove it carefully.
Wash the tattoo gently with lukewarm water and a pH-neutral, fragrance-free soap.
Pat dry with a clean towel — never rub the area.
Apply a thin layer of healing cream (Cicaplast, Bepanthen) 4× daily for 2 weeks, then 2× daily for 2 more weeks.
Avoid swimming pools, sea and sauna for at least 3 weeks.
Avoid alcohol for 3–4 days after the session.
Avoid intense sport and heavy sweating for 1–2 weeks.
Avoid tight clothing that rubs against the fresh tattoo.
Once healed, always use SPF 50+ on the tattoo to keep it sharp and vibrant.
